Side rear view mirrors
I finally did it. I hit the garage with the RR fender pulling in last week. I really need a right side mirror. My car has a remote driver side view mirror. I do not know it it is/was original or not. It is the old school one with the 3 cables. I can send a picture if needed.
Does anyone else have side view mirrors? Any suggestions? I ran across this which may work:
Jegs side view
Any ideas or comments?

Re: Side rear view mirrors
I'm putting mirrors on both sides of the wagon since I closed off the back windows. I'm using aftermarket mirrors, manual, and got them from summit I think. Remotes are ok just for me its just more to go wrong.

Re: Side rear view mirrors
Be interested to know if this works out fitting well. Style looks ok.
I have an original mirror but can't get it to stay tight on the lug that attaches to the body. Everything is worn.
$40 isn't cheap, is it nice?

I to would like a right rear mirror, just seems weird not being able to look down that side backing up. My idea is use my spare cable remote for that side and just have the passenger adjust if need be

Re: Side rear view mirrors
I know this is an older post but I understand you have three options.
Buick made some fixed mount mirrors with Buick Tri-shields that were used on all their full size and compact that will work. They will do left and right sides and were used for many years. I just bought some from a ‘65 Skylark that I may use and they are identical to what is fitted on my ‘63 Riviera.
Buick also used cable operated remote control mirrors in 63, 64 and 65 on both full size and compacts that can be used on left or right by turning the head around. I searched for one of these for a ‘64 Skylark to use on the right side. Am also thinking that I could use them on my ‘63 Skylark too. There is a diagram in the shop manual to guide the fitting.
Last step is a set of after market mirrors from the period that you should be able to locate new or used at swap meets etc.
With Buick, need to look further than compacts as a lot of bits went on full size cars as well, including Riviera.
Hope this helps.
