Dual path filter ???? Empty Dual path filter ????

Post by Six Deuce Mon Aug 21, 2017 7:07 pm

Good evening to all of you
I just want to know about the dualpath tranny strainer/filter....
Do i have to install a new one when replacing oil??? If yes where do i order one ??
Can i just clean mine and put it back in with fresh oil???
Can i remove it completely and put the oil pan back with new oil with no filter at all ?
Any thoughts
Thanks

You should replace a filter with every trans fluid change - similar to changing your filter when changing the oil -- biggest difference is the length of time between changes -- most trans fluids last 50-75k miles unless they are overheated.

You could get by with just a fluid change but why?

Anyways, you can order the filter and pan gasket here...

DEFINITELY NO TO YOUR LAST QUESTION BTW....

Dual path filter ???? Empty Filter?

I am in same boat. From the manual I don't see that it has a filter. If you find one let me know. I tore it apart to change seals and cannot find any filter.
