Battery size Empty Battery size

Hey guys it's been so long since I've had a battery in the car that I don't recall what size it is. Does it sit down in the tray? If anyone could give me the dimensions of their battery or what group the battery is that would be great. Thank you

The measurements of my battery are 7"X9"X6" but I have a 3/8" piece of plywood under it I think because it was just to tight in the battery tray. Hope this helps!
