aftermarket fuel pump
Has anyone used an aftermarket (parts store) fuel pump. I've seen them at several different websites. They're modern and don't have the return fitting back to the tank. Just interested on how they worked out.

Re: aftermarket fuel pump
The olds f85 seems to have come with either. Return to the tank or no return. The Jetfires had the return. We have two 62 Cutlasses made in different factories and one had a return and one did not. Of course the tank pickup/sending unit either has a return line or not.
However, the return was done after the pump at the filter housing, not at the pump. You’d want to keep an eye on pump pressure/flow for stock and aftermarket. The cutlass, return or not, uses the same pump. Jetfire uses a pump with slightly higher flow.
I like the return. Keeps the fuel flowing rather than sitting there soaking in the heat but lots of cars don’t have it.
