Well it will be hard to find any replacement pieces or patch panels for these old girls after market. I just redid my car and had to make all my pieces but they aren't hard to do. You might try and find a parts car or go to the wreckers and see if they have any. Olds F85 and Pontiac Tempest have similar mechanical parts but sheet metal not so much.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply! I was afraid this was the case of not being able to purchase new metal.
Thank you again and Happy Motoring!

Hi Brent: Rockers source?
Couple years back I purchased a set of full rocker patches for my '61 Skylark. Got them on ebay. The link is for one of his current ads and not for the Skylark/Special but references their existence.
He shared with me some history regarding these panels, of which he sells for many makes and models.
In Pennsylvania back in the day, somehow it was required to maintain the panels on a car. These panels are remnents of that era. They are for 61-63 either 2 or 4 door and will require trimming to work. I have not yet installed on my '61
Goodluck!

Re: 1962 Buick Skylark sheet metal HELP!
Interesting. 3/16" is a lot! Way back (40+ years) I did (fabricated) the drivers side rocker on my '61 thin pillar coupe. Did not recall working metal thickness that substantial.
Makes sense that for convertables the structure may have been strengthened in this area on a uni-body vehice. Not saying my coupe does not have metal that thick, just do not remember it being so.
Thanks for the information.
