61 Skylark Master cylinder
Has anybody had any luck finding a master cylinder for the 61 Skylark. The brake switch is on the top end of the cylinder. My 62 isn't. I can find the plain 62 master cylinder but not the one with the switch hole on it. Thanks

Re: 61 Skylark Master cylinder
You might just be in luck -- I'm getting ready to convert my 61 over to a dual MC and disc brakes -- I really hadn't thought about selling my old MC but it works just fine. Here's a pic -- it's not the greatest as it was an engine compartment pic but I can get a better one later today if you think that is the right one and you'd like me too. If it's what you're after we can discuss further and maybe make some sort of arrangement.

I will get you a better pic late tonight - won't be home till around 9p CT. I'm pretty confident that besides the cosmetic differences they are one in the same. I'm almost positive that mine has the brake light switch incorporated into the MC. Stay tuned..

My car is a 61 Sky ( 1/2 yr car because they didn't really badge the specials as a skylark officially till 62 ). I'm not certain if this is OEM or aftermarket -- either way it does work and appears period correct.

Mine is only a 2 bolt mount. Yours looks like a 4 bolt. I wonder if the difference is mine is a V8 4 speed car?

Wow you know I never even noticed that lol -- good pickup -- IDK my car is an original 215HO auto car -- might be the difference in transmissions?
Not that it matters to you but I wonder how that's going to affect my MC conversion -- I hadn't even given that any thought -- crap!
