Thoughts on this car.....
I this a factory interior? Looks really clean in pix, any input on vehicle is welcomed.
I may just have to buy this....

I agree this is not an original pattern. Here is a link to a repro upholstery supplier that shows the 1961 combinations.

Also I do not believe the dashboard is the right color. My '62 Special had a dark purple colored dash with the red interior, presumably to reduce glare. Also this car has no dash pad, but maybe that was not used until 62. And the steering wheel? It doesn't look right either. Overall though this looks like a decent car.

One thing I'm glad to see though is the black air cleaner, and it looks original to me. I recall my '62 air cleaner was also black back in the day, but on the Skylark I restored last year several people have told me black is not correct, should be silver. These cars were built in several plants and I suspect either color could have been correct. In fact, I had two parts donor cars to complete my restoration and I was amazed at the many differences between them even though all 3 cars were 62 Skylarks. I suspect the factories in those days substituted or changed things much more freely than they do today. Neither parts car had an engine though, so I do not know what color their air cleaners were.

Thanks guys and something I realized too after posting this is its a four door(duh), it didn't have a side photo, although I did wonder why no buckets when I first saw it, that mystery is solved......lol
