Mirror measurement....
Post your outside rear view measurements as I have none mounted as of now. Do have two repo mirrors but would like to mount in correct positions. Need from front of door seam to front of mirror base and how far in form outer edge of car to outer edge of base, if you have a passenger side rear view those would be helpful as well .............
Thanks, Tom

Re: Mirror measurement....
Mine is off right now. I could give you the mounting hole measurements would that be of use?
Re: Mirror measurement....
Bill, that would be good. Although you have a '63, is it the same?

Outside mirror measurement
I suspect the '63 mirror location is the same as '62 since the door is the same length & the wing windows are the same size. That said though, I'm not sure there is a 'correct' location for them at all. I just last week installed the driver's side mirror on my '62 nearing completion of restoration. I have a collection of old 62 Special/Skylark magazine ads, so I consulted them to see where the mirror is mounted, behind or ahead of the wing window? To my surprise the ad photos were inconsistent. Some showed the mirror ahead of the wing window toward the front of the door, others just behind the wing window. I recall my '62 back in the day was behind the wing window, so that's where I put it, being careful to ensure the mirror did not interfere with opening the wing window. Maybe both side view mirrors were dealer installed back in the day, therefore inconsistent in placement? Very strange. Also the body manual was no help, does not show the mirror on the door. Bottom line is I don't think you can place them wrong.

Re: Mirror measurement....
I will measure my drivers side tonight, but I am betting the inconsistency comes from the power mirror versus the non power. Woody told me the powered mirrors were an uncommon option. Mine has the powered mirror, for what it is worth.
Re: Mirror measurement....
Sorry. I meant remote, not power. They did not have power mirrors, but they did have remote operated ones that used cables to adjust the mirrors.
Re: Mirror measurement....
ok- I measured from the bottom of the trim on the window to the mounting holes. That was 1 and 7/8th inches. Then I also measured from the front of the door to each mounting screw hole and came up with 15 and 5/8ths and 17 and 3/8th inches. I will post a picture that shows where I got those measurements from.
Re: Mirror measurement....
Let em double check the 1 7/8ths measurement tomorrow. My phone was supposed to take a note for me while I was measuring, but Google disagreed.
Re: Mirror measurement....
Thanks Bill, I will see how that looks on the '62 body lines....
