How do we drum up more active members
So far I am very pleased with the content that has been put up here. However, I wish we had more active members. I guess there has not been a bunch of posts in the Yahoo groups either, but I still think that this could be utilized more. Do any of the current members have an idea how to drum up some more active members? I don't want to spam the Yahoo groups, but I am not sure how else to spread the word. Any ideas?

I did not put one on the V8... I appreciate the help though. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

LOL ... Thats funny ... I'm the one that started the thread on the V8 Bench forum ... I know theres a bunch of guys there that have our lil cars, so I was trying to advertise this and hopefully get a few more members. I've been watchin the posting and seen it has been read by a lot of people.
Josh: Thanks for bumping the posting up ... I wanted to but didn't wanna look dumb or anything ... lol
LOL -- yeah I guess I just figured it was Bill, never really looked but this is good for us since the V8 forum refuses to add a area specifically for these cars. And yeah no problem Keith -- just want as many people to see it as possible.

I am sure that there are people on here that use the yahoo forum so maybe we should post info that there is many more options than just reading through every post about one thing. Try letting them know that we now have a project forum that has photos and interest to people looking to see how to do something instead of reading how to do it.

Re: How do we drum up more active members
When I started this thread the board really only had 3 active members (me, woody and regal). Now there seems to be more participation, so I am not as worried about it. I just was worried the initial push would go away and then the board would die a slow death. I am glad it has picked up and think it is going to grow as people get used to the format, etc.
I will probably not post anymore informaiton about this board to the Yahoo group. I do not want anyone to think I am trying to undermine the usefulness of that system. There are a lot of great people and great questions and answers on that group. I have asked several questions and gotten great and friendly replies. For me, the forum is an easier way to view and save communication. I also think it lends itself to have more of a "community" to it because the format is more of a conversation. I fully believe that both are useful in their own way and am just glad that there is enough of a community around those cars to accomodate us all.
