Just picked up a 61 Special 4 door

I am mostly an Oldsmobile man but picked this 61 up today. It has a rebuilt 215 engine but the transmission is bad now. Not sure what I will do with it yet. I have a 62 Olds Jetfire and need to work on the rear end. I am not sure if this would have the same parts or not?

Sorry Jensen- attaching a picture is not easy on this site. You need to upload it first using the icon that looks like a 3.5 floppy disk. When it uploads you need to copy the URL it gives you. Then click on the icon to the right that looks like a monitor with a green plus sign in the corner and paste that URL. There are some folks on here that own the Jetfires that will certainly know about how many parts are interchangeable. Let me know if you need help uploading any pictures. Welcome aboard!!

As you know most BOP rear ends are the same thru alot of years as they tried to make the inside parts interchangeable but different than chevrolet. I would assume that this rear is the same as special tempest F85
