Info on sill plates.....
I was looking for sill plates for the '62. rt338b suggested Ames Performance (Pontiac), received them yesterday, very nice repos.
Looks like they fit other GM's and aren't that tough to find (see pix), they appear to fit (interior not finished). All mounting holes will have to be drilled and top of rocker panel dimpled to attach plate screws as existing are not even close.

Did you not order them for 61-63 Tempest. I have them and only one hole was wrong and were the exact length.

I ordered for the '61-'63 Tempest, and one hole does line up. Receipt shows 61-63

Just called Ames and they confirmed that 68-72 GM A-body are the same pieces.....
Although the A-body was 40.00 and the 61-63 are 44.00

Haha $4 more cause they think they are harder to find. Go figure, if they know they will work on our cars then maybe $20 higher haha. So how do you like the way they look and fit.
