hi. cant find the place of the serial motor no.

If it's like the Olds F85 the eng ID number is stamped on the front of the passenger side cylinder head. There is also a number below it stamped onto a small flange on the block but that is not considered the eng ID number. In the Olds the heads are reversible so if someone has removed the heads and is not knowledgeable of where the number should be, they can mount the passenger head on the drivers side, in which case the ID number will now face the firewall and you won't see it.
You need a factory service manual for this and other info. It gives you this info in the first section.

Someone here can tell you exactly where it is on the Buicks.
Do you have a service manual? You can get a used original, for around $40 or a CD with it all for for about $30. Just do an ebay search for 1962 Buick Skylark Service Manual. Lots of choices. Or go to the FAXON site, they sell used and new manuals.
