parts and places for parts
I'm finding out that parts are hard to find for these cars so I'm asking has anyone used parts from different cars that are more popular. I've read Josh's 2016 upgrade post and if I remember correctly he used weather seals from a tempest. Since I'd like to replace the seals in my wagon that was good info. So what I'm asking is if anyone found and used other parts, doesn't matter how big or small, add it to this thread so people working on these cars has a little more time actually working on the car instead of spending days on the net.
Thanks for the help ahead of time.

Re: parts and places for parts
Check out "Steele Rubber Products". They have all the rubber for the wagons.

Re: parts and places for parts
61-63 Pontiac Tempests and 61-63 Olds F85s would be the only two where most of the parts are carryovers or variations of some form.
Parts sources are hard to come by...
OPGI
Rare Parts
Ames Performance ( pontiac stuff but again alot is bolt-on and they have a great FREE catalog )
Steele Rubber ( as mentioned above )
The Right Stuff ( another weatherstripping co )
Kanter
C.A.R.S ( oldbuickparts.com )
Probably forgetting one or two but truthfully not much out there -- finding used and/or NOS OEM parts may be your only choice on certain items.

Re: parts and places for parts
-Fusick Oldsmobile has some F85 olds parts that will interchange with the Skylark/Specials.
-Metro Moldings also carries some weatherstrip for the cars. Steele and Metro may carry the same seal for the same purpose but I have experienced differences in the seals, sometimes Steele is better and sometimes Metro.
-Corvair-I have not experienced it myself but I have seen lots of posts about the front hubs or spindles interchanging
-Restoration Specialties and a couple others that I can't remember right now for molding clips, window felts/run channels etc. Lots of interchange between the models and years.
-D&D is a source for what is interchangeable on the Olds vs Buick engs.
