TIE ROD END

Post by regal81455 on Mon Apr 03, 2017 8:51 am

This past weekend I managed to get sometime to inspect the steering components on my car.  The passenger side outer tie-rod wasn't loose at the spindle or the steering tube connections BUT I was able to move it in the direction of the front to back of the car. ( IE I was able to rock it while it was affixed at both ends ).  I know its essentially a ball joint in the steering tube but how tight should it be?  The driver side did not share the same amount of movement.  Any thoughts?  May have to post a video to further explain if this isn't clear enough.

TIA
Josh
