Nice looking engine bay. Can I ask what alternator bracket you used?

I have a question about removing the sub-frame. Is it really just three main bolts? Anything I should know? Motor and trans are out of mine. I want to convert to manual steering. I cleaning up the engine bay and thought about removing the sub frame.

I have a '63 Skylark with the two speed automatic. I want to convert it to a 4-speed T-10. I'm curious if I have to change out the rear end to something with Positraction. What do you think? What tranny did this car have before the swap?

Re: 1962 Skylark 2-Door Hardtop
A couple of housekeeping items, since I just don't visit this site much at all, any more.
1) The front subframe was, as I recall, indeed only the (3) bolts. I installed the engine/trans into the subframe, then lifted the subframe into position from under the car. Took some adjusting, but I felt it was easier than bolting on the subframe and adding the engine separately.
2) My car was originally an automatic car with an open diff rear. When I bought it, the previous owner had put a Saginaw iron 4-speed in it, along with a poorly made driveshaft and a horribly fabricated Ford 8.8in rear end. That all got replaced with stock stuff from a junk car. The stock, replacement rear end was contained an open diff, and I never had any issues running that with the 5-speed.
