bellows type power brake booster
winters coming overhere and the seasons project is to work on the brakes.
brake shoes are already new courtesy of rockauto but i plan on replacing underhood brake components.
did anyone ever rebuild or replace their bellows type booster with the vacuum tank ?? tough job ??
I felt like i didnt have power brakes during the last rides....probably because of the booster i guess

Re: bellows type power brake booster
I haven't done one on this series of cars, the Olds F85 series has the same power brake setup, but I did do a very similar bellows arrangement on an early Etype Jag. The most complicated part of the Jag rebuild was the balancing mechanism, which is exterior to the bellows, for the master cylinders since it has two, one for the front and one for the rear brakes. Don't think it is that tough, just need to pay close attention as to what goes where.
Can you get a new bellows? The bellows are available for the Jag, maybe the same one?
We may be doing one here as well on an Olds Jetfire.
If no one has good direct info on these cars I can check size and breakdown of the Jag one for you, might help.
